Official Rules for the December Giveaways Sweepstakes for Universal Tax Systems, Inc. d/b/a CCH Small Firm Services (“CCH SFS”). (Nov. 4, 2024 )

1. Limited time offer: There are three ways to enter into the weekly drawings of the December Giveaway Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”). The Sweepstakes will run from 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on Dec. 2, 2024 through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Dec. 31, 2024 (“Sweepstakes Period”).
    
   1. Purchase a qualifying TaxWise tax software package for the Tax Year 2024 online or directly with a representative of CCH SFS using Code 24NDECGIVE anytime during the Sweepstakes Period and you will automatically be entered into the Weekly drawings.
   2. Renew your qualifying TaxWise tax software package for the Tax Year 2024 online or directly with a representative through CCH SFS using Code 24RDECGIVE during the Sweepstakes Period and you will automatically be entered into the Weekly drawings.
   3. You may also enter without making a purchase or renewing your tax software package, during the Sweepstakes Period as set forth in Paragraph 5 below.

   Limit one (1) entry per person regardless of method of entry.

   From the time you purchase, renew your tax software package (or if applicable, the day after receipt of your mailed entry) you will be entered into every Weekly drawing until Dec. 31, 2024. Should you win one of the weekly drawings, you will be removed from the prize pool for additional weekly prizes. If you are the winner of a weekly drawing, you will still be eligible and entered into the drawing for the Grand Prize. Legal residents of Rhode Island will not be eligible for the $1,000 Gift Card weekly prize drawing, or the Grand Prize ($4,000 in Gift Card (4 x $1,000 or some variation thereof). You may also enter without making a purchase or without renewing your tax software package, during the Sweepstakes Period as set forth in Paragraph 5 below. Limit one (1) entry per person regardless of method of entry.



2. Prizes: There will be Nine (9) prizes in total awarded: Eight (8) Weekly prize drawings and one (1) Grand Prize. Weekly prizes will be for one of the following: Four (4) weekly drawings for a $1,000 Gift Card in November –and- Four (4) weekly drawings for $750 in December (Note: legal residents of Rhode Island will not be eligible for the $1,000 or $750 Gift Card). The Grand Prize shall be $4,000 in Gift Cards (awarded in increments of four (4) x $1000 or some variation thereof) and will be awarded at the end of the Sweepstakes Period (Note: legal residents of Rhode Island will not be eligible for the $4,000 Grand Prize). No prize substitutions allowed, except in the sole discretion of CCH SFS and then only for a prize of equal or lesser value. Only one entry and only one prize per person; however, weekly drawing winners will be included in the drawing for the Grand Prize and eligible to win this prize. Prizes are non-transferable. All taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of winners.


3. Drawing: Drawings will be held each week for the eight (8) Weekly prizes (four (4) in November and four (4) in December) and each winner selected at random from among all eligible entries received at the time of drawing. The drawings for each prize will be held on Tuesdays after the completion of each weekend during the Sweepstakes period. One drawing for the Grand Prize will take place at the end of the Sweepstakes period. Each winner will be chosen at random and announced by email or other means shortly thereafter. The decisions of CCH SFS are final in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. The drawings are final and binding on all matters related to the Sweepstakes.


4. Obligations of Winner: Winner need not be present to win. Winners must complete any and all legal documents, including a W-9 and an affidavit of eligibility if requested, and return them to CCH SFS within seven (7) working days after receipt of such documents. In the event of noncompliance with these requirements, the prize will be forfeit and an alternate winner may be selected. If the prize or any prize notification is returned as undeliverable or CCH SFS is unable to contact the winner after reasonable efforts, the prize will be forfeit and an alternate winner may be selected.


5. Entering without purchase: NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER AND A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. To enter without purchase, send a 3x5 card with your contact information (including your name, title, company name, address, date of birth, email address, and telephone number) to December Giveaways, 225 Chastain Meadows Court NW, Suite 200, Kennesaw, GA 30144. No responsibility is assumed by CCH SFS for lost, late, or misdirected entries. Mailed entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on December 31, 2024.


6. Redemption: Winners will have their prizes e-mailed to them from CCH SFS.


7. Eligibility: The Sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the 50 United States, D.C., Puerto Rico, and US Territories, who are 18 years of age and older as of November 4, 2024, who enter in accordance with Paragraphs 1 or 5 of these Official Rules, except that legal residents of Rhode Island will not be eligible for the $1,000 weekly prize drawing or the $4,000 Grand Prize. Employees of CCH SFS and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to participate. Proof of identity must be furnished upon request.


8. General: The Sweepstakes is subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws. By participating, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and CCH SFS decisions. Winners agree to release CCH SFS and its employees, representatives, affiliates and suppliers, including without limitation their advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability, loss or damage with respect to the award, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize or participation in any prize-related activity. Acceptance of prizes shall constitute and signify the winner’s agreement and consent that CCH SFS may use his/her name and address (city and state only), likeness and/or prize information for promotional purposes without further compensation, where legal. All prizes will be awarded, provided a sufficient number of entries are received. CCH SFS reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes should virus, bugs or other causes beyond CCH SFS’ control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Sweepstakes. CCH SFS will not be responsible or liable for: (1) late, lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, or postage-due entries or mail; (2) electronic, hardware, or software program, network, internet, telephone, telecommunications, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind; (3) failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions; (4) any condition caused by events beyond the control of CCH SFS that might cause the Sweepstakes to be disrupted or corrupted; or (5) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes. CCH SFS’ clock will be the official Sweepstakes clock. All entries become the property of CCH SFS and will neither be acknowledged nor returned.
