2-Step Verification Coming Soon

Just a reminder that with the CCH Axcess Workflow January 2022 release, Two-Step Verification is now required for all firms. Users will be prompted to enter a passcode that is delivered to the email address indicated in their user profiles. Users will then be required to enter the passcode before they are able to complete the login process. On a subsequent CCH Axcess Workflow release, users will then be required to receive Two-Step Verification passcodes via phone numbers per IRS guidelines.

XCMworkflow and the CCH Axcess platform

In January 2022, XCMworkflow transformed into CCH Axcess Workflow. More than just a name change, CCH Axcess Workflow merged XCMworkflow into the CCH Axcess platform, adding more integration and incorporating new and innovative features.

You’ll continue to use your XCMworkflow credentials. If you are also using any CCH Axcess solutions, your firm’s staff will sync with the CCH Axcess common staff database. You’ll also have the opportunity to benefit from integration with the CCH Axcess platform, like easily linking your tasks to CCH Axcess Tax Returns and linking files from CCH Axcess Document.  

Now that it is available, XCMworkflow customers have automatically moved to CCH Axcess Workflow. There is no action required on your part.

Integration with the CCH Axcess Platform

 

When XCMworkflow becomes CCH Axcess Workflow in January 2022, firms that are already using other CCH Axcess will be able to integrate their systems with an easy-to-use integration dashboard. The Integration Dashboard includes three integration functions:

  • Staff Integration. Login using the CCH Axcess default Admin credentials to automatically link users between CCH Axcess Workflow and the CCH Axcess staff database. This will establish a link based on users’ e-mail addresses. If any users are not linked due to different email addresses in each system, the administrator can enter the e-mail address to link by clicking on the Staff Manager button in CCH Axcess. The CCH Axcess Staff Manager then becomes the source of truth to manage staff.
  • Tax Integration. From the Control Sheet, users can add a CCH Axcess Tax Return link to easily track the return’s status, open the return, and preview the return's e-file status.
  • Document Auto Sync. Map Workflow Categories and Task Types to CCH Axcess Document Classes and Subclasses to automatically display linked files on the Control Sheet. When this option is enabled, CCH Axcess Document links of new/modified files will automatically display on control sheets based on the Category and Task Type mappings below. We recommend reviewing the Client Integration and Category mappings before enabling auto sync.
